The Omen and the remake. The remake is very similar to the original, in the same way the Vince Vaughn take on Psycho remake was. Damn near identical script and scenery, slightly pointless other than to capitalise on the release date. But the effects are obviously much improved, and some ideas about prophecies and predicting Armagaddon based on fairly recent events like 9/11 and the tsunami are quite an interesting take on the story. Liev Schreiber is a fairly limited actor, but a consistent one, and I think he's brilliant in the remake.

Yeah shot for shot remakes seem so very pointless.

Watched Scar 3D, which wasn't amazing but it was 3D so it was cool and the kid that plays Dexter in the flashbacks was in it which was pretty random.
