If you dont find anyone and I havent got a job by then, then I will do but the thing i was worried about is ive got interviews coming up and im likely to start this or next week and asking for that time off straight away isnt gonna be good! But if I still am an unemployed bum by then and you havent sold it then I'll come!

obviously it depends on the job but most places i have worked ask you before you start if you have any holidays booked because really they have to honour them. i started a job once and had a day off in the second week to move house, because it had all been arranged.
you don't have to tell them you're going to a concert, just say you're going away for the weekend and it's already booked, they'll most likely try and fit you in and if they sack you for requesting a day off, well, that's unfair dismissal really![/quote]
