No Nim Vind, No Crimson Ghosts, No..Hell Nights tour in the UK.Suprise suprise, it's been cancelled. Was talking to Jackal earlier and he said the promoter decided he couldn't afford the UK dates. OUIEHGOIWJMTPIWJMTIHG-IMGOINGTORAPEHIM-WOEGH. Once again the UK gets done out of another show. BUT, on the good news front, Speaking to Jackal, I gave him a website of a guy who books horror rock / punk bands in the UK, pays for all of their tour, and asks for hardly anything back. He said he really likes what the guys doing, and hes going to check him out now, and hopefully they'll be a UK tour (or a long weekend) booked for early Next year. (which is oh so far away, but hey). Trying to get Nim too. |

Show 'em this forum, and he'll see theres at least 50 people willing to travel for a kick ass show.
I also know that the midlands is much better for horrorpunk/rockabilly than down here in london. everyone's too busy with nu-rave and shitty grindie bands like hadouken! and JME. its fucking stupid i tell ya!! |

Yup, London people will pay the fee.
Just like Henny (lass who booked Blitzkid) she paid for everything, right down to the work permits, they played her show at the Electric Ballroom in London, then she drove them upto Wolverhampton to play the varsity show. This guy ain't from London though, and alot of the bands he puts on from abroad, don't actually play London. |

yeah this really pisses us off!
Shadow Reichenstein play about 30 continental dates and no promoter will book them for the UK??! They want to play but they are told their is no interest in them over here?? Calabrese must be getting big over here too...? the promoter mentioned is www.thirteen13.co.uk who is struggling to get dates for bands such as Crud. I was at the Wolves Blitzkid gig and it was great to see them but I think Shadow and Calabrese have much more of a following. It's getting to the point I may have to start doing gigs myself...

yup, thirteen13 and theres another guy knocking around now too.
Shadow Reichenstein nearly did play England this year, but they gave him a week to find shows, shows that were going to be played in a week. Which is obviously pretty much impossible. Blitzkid are bigger than Calabrese, So I couldn't see someone putting on Calabrese if they couldn't put on Blitzkid. Unless of course, someone in London does it. |
