Jerry Finn (producer Alkaline Trio, AFI, Rancid etc) dies

Jerry Finn, the guy who produced albums by Rancid (...Out Come the Wolves), Alkaline Trio (Good Mourning, Crimson), AFI (Sing the Sorrow, decemberunderground), Tiger Army (Music From Regions Beyond) as well as Pennywise, The vandals, Green Day, Blink 182 and the Offspring, has died aged 38 following a brain haemorrage.

Damn, thats a bit of a shock. I lots of people disliked what he did with bands, but I personally thought he brought out even more good in them.

Yeah, I have to say, none of the albums he produced for those bands are my favourites of their work (except for ...Out Come the Wolves) but he was a talented producer and helped some very good bands to achieve success and recognition, which can only be a positive thing.
